There was secret storeroom down a flight of steps behind a secret passage guarded by a suit of armour by the arcade area on the second-floor of Hogwarts Castle. It contained pieces of furniture, like chests, cupboards, vases and armchairs, as well as spare portrait frames and candlesticks. It was a low-ceilinged room and, by 1991, it had a severe gnome infestation.^[1]
