Mrs. Finnigan was a witch and the mother of Seamus Finnigan. According to her son, Mrs. Finnigan only told her husband that she was a witch after they were married, which came as a "nasty shock" to him since he is a Muggle.[2]
Biography
1994
In 1994, Mrs. Finnigan attended the Quidditch World Cup with her son, and was introduced to Harry Potter for the first time. She and her son supported the Irish National Quidditch team, who defeated Bulgaria in the final.[3]
1995
A reader of the Daily Prophet, Mrs. Finnigan believed the series of slanders and lies they told against Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore in the summer of 1995, and seriously considered not allowing Seamus to go back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the September of the same year.[4]
1997
In 1997, following the death of Albus Dumbledore, Mrs. Finnigan tried to take Seamus out of school and bring him home before the Headmaster's funeral. Seamus refused, leading to a blazing argument. Mrs. Finnigan eventually compromised, allowing him to attend the funeral on the condition that they go home right after.[5]
