Mrs Finnigan was a witch and the mother of Seamus Finnigan. According to her son, Mrs Finnigan only told her husband that she was a witch after they were married, which came as a "nasty shock" to him given that he is a Muggle.[2]

In 1994, Mrs Finnigan attended the Quidditch World Cup with Seamus, and was introduced to Harry Potter for the first time. She and her son staunchly and vociferously supported the Irish National Quidditch team, who defeated Bulgaria in the final.[3]
