Rue is a kind of evergreen shrubs native to the Mediterranean region, Macaronesia and southwest Asia, with a distinctive bitter taste.[1]
Rue has healing properties, and is used in wizarding remedies: essence of rue is used to recover after poisoning,[2] and it is also used in the treatment of mad dog bites.[3][4]
