This letter was written by Rubeus Hagrid to Harry Potter on 31 July, 1993. The letter came with Hagrid's birthday present to Harry, a copy of The Monster Book of Monsters. This is what Hagrid believed to be a practical gift for Harry, as unbeknownst to him at the time, Hagrid had just been promoted to Professor of Care of Magical Creatures.[1]

Hope the Muggles are treating you right.
