- "I could pick him up at the age of 6 and put him on top of the dresser. But enough about me...what about you?"
- — Rubeus Hagrid discussing his father to Olympe Maxime[src]
Rubeus Hagrid's father (died c. 1940) was a wizard and the first husband of Fridwulfa. He was short, not only in comparison to his giantess wife and half-giant son, but by human standards as well.
Biography
Marriage
In or before the early twentieth century, he met Fridwulfa, a giantess. They became a couple and married. Around 1928, they had a part-human child, named Rubeus.
Separation
Fridwulfa left Hagrid's father three years after their son's birth.[1] Hagrid's father became heartbroken.
Fatherhood
After Fridwulfa left him, Hagrid's father had to take care of his infant son alone. In 1940, his son started his magical education at Hogwarts School.
Death
Hagrid's father died around 1940, when Rubeus was twelve,[1] thus unaware of his son's expulsion from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry the next year.
