Mr. Hagrid (d. c. 1940) was the father of Rubeus Hagrid and the first husband of Fridwulfa. He is described as a short wizard, in contrast to his wife and son.

[edit] Marriage
At some point in his life Mr. Hagrid met Fridwulfa. They married and became a couple. Around 1928, they had a baby. They named him Rubeus.

Fridwulfa left Hagrid three years after their son's birth. [1] Hagrid became heartbroken.
[edit] Fatherhood
After Fridwulfa left him, Hagrid had the task of taking care of his baby son, alone. Hagrid seems to have been a good father; Rubeus likes to share good memories of this time of his life, like when he was six years old, and he could lift his father up and sit him on the dresser. [2] Around 1939, Hagrid started his magical education at Hogwarts School.

Hagrid died around 1940, when Rubeus was twelve, [3] thus never finding out his son's expulsion from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that would take place in the next year.
