The Royal Air Force (RAF) is the aerial defence branch of the British Armed Forces.[1] In the summer of 1995, during an unprecedented heat wave, the RAF put on an air show somewhere in the United Kingdom. Some attendants of this event ended up suffering heat exhaustion and had to be treated by an on-site nurse. A photograph of them, taken by Chris Lunney, appeared alongside a front-page story about the heat wave in the Daily Express.[2]
