A roundabout is a revolving circular platform, there are two main types of these.
Carousel Roundabout[]
This roundabout is a big carousel provided with wooden animal seats on which people ride for amusement. Another term for this is merry-go-round. In 1991, there was a picture on the Dursley family mantelpiece of Dudley Dursley on a roundabout at the fair.[1]
Playground Roundabout[]
This roundabout is a little flat disc that can be made to spin by pushing on its handles. The children who spin it can jump on, and experience a dizzying ride. A roundabout could be found on the playground at Magnolia Crescent, close to Magnolia Road.[2][3]
