The Rosenfeld case was a wizarding trial held in 1996. The Daily Prophet ran a story about how the case had fallen apart due to questions being raised over whether veritaserum connected to the trial was tainted. This presumably invalidated the confession of the accused and/or the testimony of witnesses.^[1]
