- "Just shove a bezoar down their throats"
- —Severus Snape in his copy of Advanced Potion-Making[src]
Ronald Weasley's seventeenth birthday was a surprise when he ate some spiked Cauldron Cakes and fell in "love" with Romilda Vane. Harry Potter got him to go to Horace Slughorn's classroom. There, Slughorn gave Ron the antidote. Afterwards, to Ron's birthday, Professor Slughorn gave him some mead that, unknown to him, was given to poison Albus Dumbledore by an Imperiused Madam Rosmerta. Ron fell, but luckily, due to his copy of Advanced Potion-Making, Harry was able to shove a bezoar down Ron's throat, saving his life.
