She worked in the capacity of a maid for the Riddles. She lived either in Little Hangleton or in her masters' manor. [1]

At daybreak, on a fine day in the summer of 1943, this maid stepped into the drawing room at the Riddle House, to find the three Riddles dead, with a look of terror on their faces and still wearing their dinner clothes from the night before. She entered in panic and ran away from the House, down the hill heading to the village, rousing all the villagers she saw in her way. [1]
