The Repelling Spell (incantation unknown) is a charm that repels small objects from escaping.
It was often used during "Cuaditch" (13th century-Quidditch) matches by members of the crowd to stop Golden Snidgets from escaping past the borders of the Quidditch pitch. [1]
This is also among the only methods of preventing owls from reaching a witch or wizard, along with Disguising Spells and Masking Spells[2]
