Reparifors is a healing spell that reverts minor magically-induced ailments, such as paralysis and poisoning.[1]
Etymology
The prefix Repar- most likley stems from the English "repair" and the suffix -fors (often used in transfiguration spells) is Latin for "chance, luck, fortune", though it may also come from forma (or simply English form) meaning form.
Behind the scenes
- In the video game adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, this spell can only be cast by using Chocolate Frog Card combinations.
- The spell may also be a transfiguration, given that its incantation contains the -fors suffix.
