A Remembrall is a hand-sized ball that glows red when its holder has forgotten something.
Neville Longbottom received one as a gift from his Gran, losing it a while after he received it. The only problem with it was that he could never remember what it was that he had forgotten. It was this object that propelled Harry Potter into his career as Seeker for the Gryffindor Quidditch team, when Minerva McGonagall witnessed Harry expertly chase after it on a broom after it was thrown by Draco Malfoy. It is unknown what has become of it and what happened to it after Harry caught it. There are superstitions surrounding it; it is said that when broken the owner is cursed for all eternity, not unlike the Muggle superstition that one will be unlucky for years if one breaks a mirror.
