"Our dormitories are in turrets off the main tower; our four-poster beds are covered in sky blue silk eiderdowns and the sound of the wind whistling around the windows is very relaxing. And once again: well done on becoming a member of the cleverest, quirkiest and most interesting house at Hogwarts."
Robert Hilliard[src]

The Ravenclaw Boys' Dormitory was a dormitory located in the Ravenclaw Tower on the west side of Hogwarts Castle.

Description[]

The four-poster beds were covered in sky blue silk eiderdowns on platforms and the sound of the wind whistling around the windows was very relaxing. A wall was decorated with the Ravenclaw crest and the windows had blue curtains. There was also a desk and stacks of books.

In the 1890s, the dorms had two bunk beds against the wall with navy blue curtains and a wooden ladder leading to the top bunk. A desk and white cabinet was situated against one wall. The desk had a white chair and a quill in an inkpot. Books were stacked on the floor, and portraits and Quidditch posters were hung on the walls. The dorm had a closet and four blue carpets on the floor. Seventh year dorms had three beds against the wall with sky blue curtains, a telescope, a navy blue carpet and a closet.[1]

In the 1980s and early 1990s, the four-poster beds were covered in blue eiderdowns with navy blue curtains, a wooden nightstand next to it and their school trunk at the foot of the bed. A wooden board was situated on either side of the bed. A blue upholstered armchair sat on one side of the bed, near the nightstand and the window. A tea cup and a piece of parchment was located on the nightstand. A wooden bookcase was located on the other side of the bed with books on top of it. The dorm had three carpets for each student and a lamp with three lit candles and a navy lamp shade.[2]

In the 2000s, the four-poster beds were covered in the house colours with the house crest on them. The four poster beds had two shelves at the back of the bed, an owl perch on one side, a small carpet next to the bed and a wooden nightstand at the end of the bed on one side. There was a wooden table in the centre of the dormitory with a stack of books with an hourglass on top of them, an open book with a Self-Writing Quill, parchments and a plant in a flower pot on it. The dorm had a centrally located stove in the centre of the dormitory next to the table.[3]
