The raspberry is the edible fruit of a variety of flowering plants.[1] Raspberry was Albus Dumbledore's favourite flavour of jam.[2]
A magical variant of the raspberry exists, which makes rude noises when picked. They are kept in the Hogwarts greenhouses and studied in Herbology.[3]
