Radio Times was a weekly British Muggle magazine that featured listings of television and radio programmes, in addition to articles about select shows, interviews with actors and actresses, etc.[2]
History
1997
An issue of Radio Times published sometime during the summer of 1997 advertised the following content on its cover:[1]
- An interview with popular television actress Elicia.
- An article about The Australia Series by Laurence Wakefield.
- A photo special featuring pictures of the Blue Mountains.
- An interview with Lydia Fry on why she took up fishing.
- Information about an exclusive DVD giveaway.
The Granger family apparently subscribed to this magazine, as they had a copy of this issue, which was in the living room of their home when Hermione altered her parents' memories.[1]
Behind the scenes
- Radio Times is a real-world British magazine that was first published in 1923. The version depicted in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is anachronistic, however, as it features the merged London/Anglia/Midlands version, which did not exist prior to 2007.
