Rade Šerbedžija (born 27 July, 1946) is a Croatian actor of Serbian descent.[1] In the film adaptations of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, he portrays the wandmaker Gregorovitch,[2] a role he described as "small but interesting"[3]

To American audiences, he is arguably most famous for his appearance as Russian arms dealer, Boris The Blade in the British film, Snatch (co-starring Dave Legeno), as Dr. Vladimir Nekhorvich in Mission: Impossible II (with Brendan Gleeson) and, most recently, as Prince Kuragin on the television series Downton Abbey, co-starring Maggie Smith. He also had a small but memorable appearance in Batman Begins, co-starring Gary Oldman and Legeno, as a Gotham City transient who switches coats with Bruce Wayne before the latter embarks on his studies as a crime-fighter.

Coincidentally, Šerbedžija's earlier film roles include the primary antagonist Ivan Tretiak of the action film The Saint, in which his aide was played by Michael Byrne (the elderly Gellert Grindelwald, who was responsible in his youth for robbing Šerbedžija's character, Gregorovitch).
