The Quietening Charm[2] (Quietus) is a charm that can be used to quieten sounds.[1] It is particularly effective in counteracting the Amplifying Charm.[1]

Ludo Bagman used this in combination with Sonorus to allow himself to speak to the large crowd at the World Cup and at the Triwizard Tournament.
