Pyotr Vulchanov was a Bulgarian wizard who played as a Beater for the Bulgarian National Quidditch team during the 1994 Quidditch World Cup.

His son Boris participated in the 2014 Quidditch World Cup as a Beater for Bulgaria in the same way his father had, and the team made it to the finals, much the way Pyotr's had.


  • The name "Pyotr" is a Russian form of the name Peter. The form used in Bulgaria is Petar.
  • Vulchanov possibly comes from the Bulgarian word for "wolf"/вълк/. Rangel Vulchanov (1928 - ) is a famous Bulgarian film director.
