This Purple Quill was a quill owned by Luna Lovegood in at least the 1995-1996 school year. It was produced from a feather of a woodpecker, and was purple in colour. The quill also had special marking that could be used to identify it. In her fourth year, Luna had this quill stolen from her, and whoever took it hid it from Luna, prompting her to prompt a notice asking for its return, along with several other of her possessions.[1]
