The Potions Classroom is where Potions classes are taught. The classroom used to be squared-sized, very large, with large tables and windows. From 1992-onwards, the classroom was of an oval shape and relatively smaller, with small work tables. In 1996, the classroom was extended, adding space for more work tables.

From 1981 to 1996, Severus Snape was the Potions master. The syllabus included the Boil-Cure Potion, Forgetfulness Potion, Swelling Solution, Hair-Raising Potion, Shrinking Solution, Antidotes, Wit-Sharpening Potion, Draught of Peace, Strengthening Solution

In the 1996–1997 school year, Horace Slughorn is made the Potions master. The students learnt about Everlasting Elixirs, Felix Felicis, Amortentia, Polyjuice Potion, among others.
