This portrait of a mother and baby hung beside the portrait of the Fat Lady at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The baby cried when the school found out what Sirius Black did to the portrait of the Fat Lady.

Behind the scenesEdit

• In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the mother was portrayed by Annalisa Bugliani, and the baby by Tess Bu Cuarón. Annalisa Bugliani was married to Alfonso Cuarón, the director of Prisoner of Azkaban, at the time the film was released, and Tess is the couple's daughter.
• These individuals may have died sometime prior to 1993, as many portraits hung at Hogwarts Castle depict deceased individuals.
