Porcupine quills are the sharp spines that cover porcupines, defending them from predators. Porcupine quills are plentiful since the animals continually replenish them.

Uses in potions

Porcupine quills were an ingredient in several potions, either whole or powdered,[2] including the Cure for Boils[2] and Elixir to Induce Euphoria.[3] Quills that caused no harm were considered the best by potion-makers.[5]

The Porcupine Robe was a special type of robe made out of porcupine quills.[6] It protected the wearer by hurting anyone who tried to physically attack them.[6]
