Podric Piles[2] was a wizard that was depicted in a large painting that hung in Gryffindor Tower, at Hogwarts Castle. In his lifetime, he was Head of Gryffindor House.[1]
In the painting, Piles is depicted as playing a game of Wizard's Chess with Uric Oapley, with Tobias Stump, standing, watching over the game, and Muldoon Cragg, in the background, absorbed in reading. Piles is depicted as sitting on a chair, wearing a long curly white powdered wig with a stripey pointy hat, a large red coat, a cravat, blue breeches and white stockings.
