The Placement Charm (incantation unknown) was a charm that magically placed an object somewhere without the wizard or witch having to do it physically. Placement Charms could be used to place a bridle on a kelpie to render it harmless and docile.[1]
History[]
During the 1986–1987 school year, Filius Flitwick taught Jacob's sibling how to cast the Placement Charm in order to safely place a bridle onto the head of a kelpie.[3]
During the 2010–2011 school year, Rubeus Hagrid showed an unidentified student how to cast the Placement Charm when they were talking about its capability to tame kelpies.[2]
