Piscifors is the incantation of a transfiguration charm that can be used to transform the target into a fish[1].
Practitioners
Etymology
The incantation comes from "pisci", meaning "fish"[3] and the -fors suffix common in transforming spells.
Behind the scenes
- As this spell was only ever seen when it was shouted during the Third Task of the Triwizard Tournament, its precise effects are based purely on the etymology. Likewise, Lily Evans's use of it was based purely on the effects.
