A phantom is a magical creature with the ability to move around unseen. In his second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter conjectured that the disembodied voice he heard moving throughout the school was perhaps a phantom.[1] Later, that same school year, while witnessing a memory of fifty years prior, by means of T. M. Riddle's Diary, he thought of himself as "little more than a phantom, completely invisible to the people of fifty years ago".[2]
