Peter was a Slytherin student at Hogwarts School during the 1990s. In 1992 he became a member of the Duelling Club and was ranked one on the Club's top-ten duellists list. Considering that he was number one on the list then it is possible that he received the Duelling Trophy for the best duellist. ^[1]

The name "Peter" is derived from the Greek Πετρος (Petros) meaning "stone".
