The Peruvian Salamander is a special kind of salamander that, instead of being red, is purple. This difference of colour is explained by the original place of this creature, Peru. Peruvian Salamanders are particularly vulnerable to the Petrificus Totalus spell, the Spongify spell and the Glacius spell. However, they are resistant to Diffindo and Incendio.[2]
