This contract was drafted in 1876 by Headmistress Eupraxia Mole on behalf of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in regards to Peeves. This contract was created as a response to a three day siege on the castle by Peeves, who was angered by an attempt made to contain him by Rancorous Carpe. By the terms of the contract, Peeves agreed to stop his relentless, murderous attack on the castle's population and, presumably, to surrender the weapons he had obtained. In return, Peeves was granted a weekly swim in the ground floor boy's lavatory, free choice of the school's stale bread for "throwing purposes", as well as a custom-made hat by Madam Bonhabille. Peeves agreed to these terms and ceased his assault, allowing school life to continue.^[1]
