Parkin played as a Seeker for the original Wigtown Wanderers team from 1422 and was a child of Wanderers founder Walter Parkin. They were a formidable team during this time, perhaps partly due to Walter attending all of their matches with a meat cleaver in one hand and his wand in the other.
