Palmistry (also known as chiromancy, cheiromancy, palm-reading, or chirology) is the art of predicting events in the future through the study of the palm. Palmistry is taught as part of the Divination course at Hogwarts. It was first introduced in 1993 by Professor Trelawney to her third year students. It involves the studying and interpretation of one's palm lines.
Hand Shapes
- Earth hands are identified to have square fingers, thick skin and ruddy color.The length of palm to wrist is equal totally to the finger's total length.
- Air hands are identified to have square palms, long fingers, short thumbs and dry skin.The length of palm to wrist is shorter than the finger's total length.
