Palmistry (also known as chiromancy, cheiromancy, palm-reading, or chirology) is the art of predict events in the future through the study of the palm. Palmistry is taught as part of the Divination course at Hogwarts. In the divination classes from the book, they did Tea Cups before Palmistry. However, in the movies, they never did Palmistry.
Etymology
- The terms "Chiromancy" and "cheiromancy" derive from Greek cheir (χειρ), "hand" and manteia (μαντεία), "divination"
