Orange juice was a type of fruit juice made by squeezing oranges. It was most commonly drunk at breakfast.


At Hogwarts

Orange juice was served at breakfast at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[1]

At breakfast on 30 October 1994, Hedwig returned from a long flight with a letter from Sirius Black, and refreshed herself with a sip Harry Potter's from goblet of orange juice before heading to the Owlery to rest.[1]

Hermione Granger hastily pushed her orange juice out of the way to make room for the barn owl that delivered her copy of the Daily Prophet at breakfast on 2 September 1995.[2]

Harry Potter had some orange juice for breakfast on 23 March 1996.[3] When the first owl bearing a letter in response to his interview in that month's issue of The Quibbler arrived, it tried to have some of his orange juice, but he quickly move the drink away.[3]

Elsewhere in the wizarding world

Orange juice was served for breakfast at The Burrow while Harry Potter and Hermione Granger were staying there prior to the wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour in the summer of 1997.[4]

One known brand of orange juice was the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes product Otters Fizzy Orange Juice.[5]

In the Muggle world

The Dursley family was drinking orange juice in June 1991.[6]

Luchino Caffe, an all-night Italian café on Tottenham Court Road in London, served freshly-made orange juice, charging £1.20 for a glass.[7]
