"There have been many reports of the Philosopher's Stone over the centuries, but the only Stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicolas Flamel, the noted alchemist and opera lover. Mr. Flamel, who celebrated his six hundred and sixty-fifth birthday last year, enjoys a quiet life in Devon with his wife, Perenelle (six hundred and fifty-eight)."
—Book on Nicolas Flamel.[src]

Opera is an art form in which singers and musicians perform a dramatic work combining text and musical score. Opera incorporates many of the elements of spoken theatre, such as acting, scenery, and costumes and sometimes includes dance. The performance is typically given in an opera house, accompanied by an orchestra or smaller musical ensemble.

Before his death, Nicolas Flamel loved opera.[1]

After Luna Lovegood was bitten by a gnome during the Wedding of William Weasley and Fleur Delacour, her father suggested that she might feel an urge to sing opera or declaim in Mermish and that, if she did, she should not suppress it.[2]
