A notice at the Leaky Cauldron advising people to call the Fire Broomgade if there is a fire
The Official Fire Broomgade was a wizarding fire brigade. The Leaky Cauldron had a fire action notice, apparently distributed by the Ministry of Magic and the Official Fire Broomgade, posted near the rentable rooms on its second floor. This notice featured a map of the Leaky Cauldron's second floor with an escape route plotted out on it, and advised "any Witch, Wizard, or even Muggle discovering a fire" to immediately take the following steps:
- Sound the alarm
- Call the Fire Broomgade
- Leave the building by safest non-magic route
- Close all doors & any open Floo Powder entrances
The notice also strongly warned against using spells or flying during a fire.[1]
