- 1991: The Gryffindor First years have an Astronomy Class at midnight, on the top of the Astronomy Tower.
- 1993: A Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff takes place under heavy rain. While playing, Harry Potter sees a black dog on the stands. Harry then passes out after Dementors enter the pitch. Harry's Nimbus 2000 is destroyed by the Whomping Willow.
