The Normans were a people who, during the Medieval era, lived in what later became western France.[1] They were descended from Norse raiders who settled in the region in the early 10th century and assimilated into the local Frankish and Gallo-Roman populations through intermarriage.[1]

In 1066, England was invaded and occupied by an army of Norman soldiers, which was lead by William the Conqueror and included at least one wizard, Armand Malfoy.[2][3]
