New England is a region in the northeastern corner of the United States of America consisting of the six states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, four of which were among the original Thirteen Colonies that declared independence and formed the United States (all except Maine, which was part of Massachusetts at the time, and Vermont, which was shared land between New York and New Hampshire).[1]

The American National Quidditch Stadium is located in New England,[2] and Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is located in the state of Massachusetts.
