The National Health Service (NHS) is a name shared by the publicly-funded healthcare systems of England, Scotland, and Wales (Northern Ireland's healthcare service is called Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland).[1]
The Guardian reported that one-quarter of NHS trusts were failing to live up to an unspecific health code in 1996.[2]
