A basket of fruit in front of some nasturtiums

A nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) is a trailing plant native to South America, which has round leaves and flowers in a range of warm colours that includes red, orange, and yellow. It is commonly grown as an ornamental plant in gardens.[1]

In 1997, Hadrian's Wall, a British horticultural magazine, ran an article about how nasturtiums make the "perfect climbing partner" for vegetable patches.[2]
