My Life As A Squib was an auto-biography of Squib Angus Buchanan, who became famous for playing in the Muggle Scottish rugby team. It was published in 1900.[1]
My Life As A Squib was a groundbreaking worldwide bestseller, as it brought the plight of the Squibs to the wizarding world's attention: Squibs had, until that point, always lived in the shadows: cast between the wizarding world where they did not fit in and always felt second-class, and the Muggle society — Buchanan's life story, however, showed that it was possible to succeed in life despite those hardships.[1]
