Merchieftainess Murcus was the leader of the Merpeople who lived in the lake in the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

BiographyEdit

Very little is known about Murcus' early life, or even the time when she was pronounced Merchieftainess. Following the Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament, she relayed Harry Potter's actions at the Merpeople village, and his desire to rescue all the hostages, to Albus Dumbledore. She may have been present for the Merpeople's sendoff at Dumbledore's funeral.

Physical AppearanceEdit

Murcus, like the rest of her kind, had wild green hair and greyish skin with blood-shot yellow eyes. She was also described by Harry Potter as ferocious-looking.

Personality and TraitsEdit

Despite Murcus seemed like a lethal and deadly female, she advised Headmaster Albus Dumbledore that Harry came in first, earning Harry second place in the second task.
