Mulligrubs Materia Medica was an herbalist shop in Diagon Alley in London, England, sharing a building with S. Starling.[1]

Etymology

  • Mulligrubs is an obsolete term for colic, a term that can refer to either a type of abdominal pain or a plant used to treat such pain.
  • Materia medica is a Latin term for the collected knowledge of the substances that can be used for healing. The term is mostly obsolete today, having been replaced by pharmacology.
