The Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee is a division of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. Members of this committee think up excuses that will explain magical happenings to Muggles.[1] Unlike the Office of Misinformation, who becomes involved in only the very worst magical-Muggle collisions and liaises with the Muggle Prime Minister,[2] this committe deals with the more minor incidents.
