Mount Etna is an active stratovolcano on the east coast of Sicily, close to Messina and Catania.
Sometime between 800 and 140 B.C., the Giant Cyclops lived in a cave in the foot of Mount Etna. The Greek hero Odysseus slayed the Giant with the aid of several sheep.
