Moose Jaw is a city located in south-central Saskatchewan, Canada.[1] In the 1970s, the city's resident Quidditch team, the Moose Jaw Meteorites, was threatened with disbandment as a result of the players' illegal practice of flying over nearby towns with sparks trailing from their broomsticks after winning matches.[2] The team thereafter chose to restrict this tradition to the pitch at the end of games.[2] Meteorites games remained a popular attraction for witches and wizards visiting Moose Jaw.[2]
