Lisa del Giocondo,[1] better known as Mona Lisa[2] (archaic Italian for Lady Lisa), was a witch[3] whose portrait was well-known in both Non-magic world and Wizarding world.
Biography[]
She was depicted in an oil painting by the Florentine artist Leonardo da Vinci completed circa 1503–1519. A copy of her portrait was hung in the Hospital Wing at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[4]
In 1927, French wizarding newspaper Le Cri de la Gargouille reported Mona Lisa forgetting to return to her painting.[5]
In 1996, the newspaper The Guardian reported that "famous painting the Mona Lisa is to appear in latest Tango ads".[6]

- In the real-world 21st century, Lisa del Giocondo (née Gherardini, 15 June 1479–15 July 1542 or c. 1551), a member of the Gherardini family of Florence and Tuscany in Italy, is generally believed to be the subject of the painting, Mona Lisa.[2][1]
